Careers
Are you interested in animals and want to inspire your fellow human beings? Then apply to the Alpenzoo. The Alpenzoo is located at the foot of the “Nordkette” mountain range, above the rooftops of Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, at an altitude of 750 metres. Roughly 2000 Alpine animals across approximately 150 species are kept in natural enclosures, terrariums and aquariums on just over 10 hectares (although only 5 hectares have been developed up to now; the zoo was expanded in 2022). No other zoo in the world has such a complete collection of wild animals from the Alpine region.
Working hard behind the scenes at the Alpenzoo is, of course, a large team that dedicates itself daily to a wide variety of tasks – from animal care to veterinary medicine, from zoo education to biology, from accounting to marketing. We are always on the lookout for colleagues who are passionate about strengthening the team.
