ZOOLOGICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The zoological education department has been at the Alpenzoo since 1984. Our zoo educators are biologists and employees of the Alpenzoo. They offer exciting lessons with live animals for all age groups (including adults), using the collection of teaching aids that has been built up over a period of many years. Our zoo educators hold staff training sessions, organise exhibitions and look after the zoo’s own library. By being involved in the day-to-day running of the zoo, they can make the zoo lessons up-to-date and animal-centric.
Please note that, at some times of the year, there is a lot of interest in the services of the zoological education department. We recommend that you make an appointment as early as possible so that you can take full advantage of our Zoo School.

The Zoo School at the Alpenzoo is run by biologist Corina Lang, BSc. and primary school teacher Magnus Klammer.

If you can't reach anyone in the office (our colleagues are often out and about at the zoo), leave a message on the answering machine or write a WhatsApp message. You will be called back reliably!

The Zoo School is aimed at school classes of all school types, kindergartens, educational academies, universities and adult education institutions. Knowledge is imparted via courses, worksheets, short observations, study projects, departmental work and seminars.
Guided tours are free of charge for school classes, kindergartens and educational colleges.
