The Alpine Zoo is open daily all year round!

9.00 - 18.00 (April-October)
9.00 - 17.00 (November - March)

A visit to the ALPENZOO is a special experience at any time of year! Even in winter, almost all animal species can be seen, as only the marmots, reptiles and amphibians sleep through the cold season. Most young animals are born in the ALPENZOO from April - June, with ibex, chamois and roe deer born in May - June. From the beginning of March, however, many bird species are mating or busy building their nests, which is always exciting to watch.

The Alpine Zoo is open all year round. In summer from 9:00-18:00 and in winter from 9:00-17:00.
The Hungerburgbahn runs every 15 minutes.
The Alpine Zoo specialises in the animals of the Alpine region. This means that the most popular animals include the brown bear, lynx, wolf, elk, otter, vulture, etc.
No, dogs and other pets are not allowed in the Alpenzoo.
The farm animals can be petted and fed at the farm.
Yes, there are pay and display car parks at the Alpenzoo. The parking fee is 50 cents per half hour for the first 3 hours daily (Monday - Sunday, public holidays) from 9.00 am - 7.00 pm, each additional half hour costs €1. A disabled car park is available. For coaches longer than 8.5 metres, the coach park at the Hofgarten is available. Please note that the car parks may be overloaded at some weekends and on public holidays. In such cases, we recommend using the Hungerburgbahn and the W bus route. These alternatives are particularly suitable for bus groups.
Pre-booking is not necessary.

The Alpenzoo also offers the option of buying tickets online. The tickets can then be redeemed within a period of two weeks.
