CAREER
Are you interested in animals and want to inspire your fellow human beings? Then apply for a job at the Alpenzoo. The Alpine Zoo is located at the foot of the Nordkette mountain range, above the rooftops of Innsbruck, the provincial capital of Tyrol, at an altitude of 750 metres. Around 2,000 Alpine animals of around 150 species are kept in natural enclosures, terrariums and aquariums on just over 10 hectares (although only 5 hectares are currently developed; the zoo will be expanded in 2022). No other zoo in the world has such a complete collection of wild animals from the Alpine region.
Behind the Alpenzoo is, of course, a large team that dedicates itself daily to a wide variety of tasks - from animal care to veterinary medicine, from zoo education to biology, from accounting to marketing. We are regularly looking for colleagues who are passionate about strengthening the team.
