ZOOPEDAGOGICAL DEPARTMENT
The zoo education department at the Alpenzoo has been in existence since 1984. Our zoo educators are biologists, a primary school teacher and employees of the Alpine Zoo. They offer exciting lessons with live animals for all age groups (including adults), using the collection of teaching aids that has been built up over the years. Our zoo educators hold staff training courses, organise exhibitions and look after the zoo's own library. By being involved in the day-to-day running of the zoo, they are able to keep zoo lessons up-to-date and animal-centred.
Please note that at some times of the year there is a lot of interest in the services of the zoo education department. We recommend that you make an appointment as early as possible so that you can make full use of the zoo school's facilities.
Animal quizzes
If you would like to visit the Alpine Zoo with your school class without a guided tour, our animal quizzes are at your disposal.
