Protective measures of the Alpenzoo

To visit the Alpenzoo, the 2-G rule applies to visitors aged 12 and over.

For vaccines with 2 partial vaccinations

A vaccination is only valid as proof when the immunisation is complete. The proof is issued from the day of the 2nd vaccination and is valid for 360 days. The third vaccination is also valid for 360 days.

For vaccines with one vaccination

From the 22nd day after vaccination, you are exempt from testing for 270 days from the day of vaccination. A second vaccination is valid for 360 days.

You are exempt from compulsory testing for 180 days from the date of recovery. The certificate of isolation or a medical certificate are valid. Proof of antibodies is valid for 90 days from the date of testing. For people who have already recovered and have been vaccinated once, the vaccination is valid for 270 days from the date of vaccination.

The Museum in the Weiherburg

After a long wait, the Museum in der Weiherburg has opened its doors to our visitors and offers a fantastic insight into Tyrol's biodiversity with the exhibition Ex & Neo. This project is the result of a wonderful collaboration with the Tyrolean Regional Museum.

Admission to the museum is only possible in combination with a visit to the zoo and here too we ask you to pay attention to the Covid measures. The maximum number of visitors currently allowed in the museum at any one time, according to the guidelines given to us, is 13 people.

The new Alpenzoo GIFs

Since recently, all zoo enthusiasts can use the official Alpenzoo GIFs on Instagram, Facebook and also Whatsapp and send them to each other.

Anyone who wants to use the GIFs just has to enter the word "Alpenzoo" in the search bar of their GIF function of the respective app and the funny animals will appear. This is also explained again in a video under this link.

Reopening of the vulture aviary

Since 17.08.2020 the large vulture aviary at the Alpenzoo was closed to visitors. This was necessary, because the 1000m2 large and almost 1 year young aviary was awaiting optimization and beautification work. The vultures moved in again today and the improvements for them, but also for the visitors, can now be experienced at close range again - since the passage through the aviary is open again from today.
